The SMBM0002 is designed to be used in place of the IS boom microphone supplied with Sensear IS headsets. The throat microphone features dual throat pick-ups and can be used in high-noise environments where ambient noise overloads traditional acoustic boom microphones.
The throat microphone operates by sensing vibrations in the throat of the wearer and translating them into an acoustic signal for transmission through the headset. The SMBM0002 is only intrinsically safe when used with one of Sensear's IS or Ex headsets.
